Denmark numbers carry the +45 country code and are written in full, with no separate national trunk prefix. Mobile and fixed-line ranges are distinguished by their leading digits and returned as a line_type you can filter on.

Denmark mobile operators & prefixes

Each mobile prefix is allocated to a specific operator. Veriphone returns that operator from the Danish Agency for Digital Government (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen) numbering plan, along with line type.

Which area code should I use for a Danish number?

None. Denmark abolished geographic area codes in 1989, and numbers are a flat 8 digits with no area code and no national trunk prefix to add or remove. You dial all eight digits from anywhere in the country, and the E.164 form is just +45 plus those eight digits — which is why Veriphone returns no fixed-line cities for Denmark.

Why is a Danish number reported as fixed-line-or-mobile?

Denmark's plan does not cleanly separate landline and mobile ranges, and several blocks are allocated for either use. When a number falls in such a block its line type genuinely cannot be narrowed to one or the other, so it is reported as fixed-line-or-mobile rather than guessed.

Can I identify the operator from a Danish number's prefix?
